Our signature service is more than a cut; it’s an experience. Each step of the process is intentionally created to give you the tools you need to set a solid foundation in your curly hair adventures. Think of us like a curl coach, guiding you through the SHAPE and HYDRATE process.
First, your stylist will listen to your needs and co-create a custom look that best benefits your specific patterns. Next, your stylist will sculpt your curls using a dry cutting method.
Once at the shampoo bowl, you will learn the EXACT techniques to practice at home.
Don’t worry about taking notes. We will text you detailed instructions for your new routine. Bring your questions, and we will do our best to offer tips, tricks, techniques, and truths.

i'm new to the salon. how do i request an appointment?
Welcome! First-time guests should request an appointment for THE CURLY EXPERIENCE.
This is a dry cut, wash/style, and education to start your journey. Please remember this is only a request. If your appointment is accepted, you will be emailed and text several appointment reminders.
If you cannot find an appointment, it's because we are completely booked for the next three months. Please check the website regularly for last-minute openings/cancellations and rollover of our 90-day schedules.
Unfortunately, we do not offer a waitlist.
help! I can't find any available appointments.
If you are not finding any availability, we are fully booked for the next three months.
We only open our schedules 90 days at a time, so please check back daily/weekly as the time rolls over.

what safety precautions are being taken due to covid?
We are following state guidelines to keep you and our employees safe.
All guests and employees are required to wear masks.
Please do not bring guests with you as we are on a limited number of how many people can be in the salon at a time. 9 is our limit.
Our goal is to create a safe, warm, and inviting sanctuary for you.
When weather permits, we open up both our doors to provide a relaxing inside-out feeling.
can i book with atoya after my new client appointment with another stylist?
Not at this time.
All of our stylists are independent contractors with their individual separate businesses.
To become a client of Atoya's, you need to schedule The Curly Experience with her.
do you offer curLy kids cuts?
Yes, Sade, Segie and Megan all offer kids cuts from age 7+. If your little one has a lot of hair, Please schedule The Curly Experience so that your stylist has enough time to perform the service.
Must be able to sit through a cut/wash/set/education.
what about men's curly cuts?
Yes.
Summer is the only stylist who offers men's cuts, including clipper work, on her menu of services.
Any short hair curly cuts that require clipper work are recommended to schedule with Summer.
can i schedule for color and highlights?
We are a salon dedicated to the SHAPE and HYDRATE method.
We focus exclusively on strategic design dry cuts and education.
We do not offer color services.
We do not offer all over color, fashion colors, tint backs or traditional foiled highlights.
