Living Libations is a company I stumbled upon years ago when I had a tooth that desperately needed a root canal. I was new to Oregon and fresh into the granola scene, so I would use volcano mud to heal that tooth before I let a dentist ruin me for life.
Sad to say, the gum repair did not prevent the inevitable trip to the dentist’s office, but it didn’t change the fact that these products were incredible.
As time went on, I moved on to find other obsessions and forgot about this brand.
It wasn’t until last year that I stumbled upon this skincare goddess who mentioned Living Libations Best Skin Ever Seabuckthorn Oil.
Lightbulb moment. Yes…I remember.
I immediately ordered it along with some of their organic hemp face cloths (it’s a vibe).
Double oil cleansing has been my jam ever since. I say double because first, I use the oil to remove all my makeup, then I use it to cleanse the skin.
Following along with advice from Poosh, I warm it up in my hands first and massage it into the skin. Then I use my washcloth to remove my makeup. Yes, even stubborn mascara comes off without irritation to the delicate eye area.
Then I apply the oil directly to the warm cloth and work in circular motions around my face and neck. Never neglect the neck!
Give yourself a splash of cold water to finish up.
You can follow up with serums, sunscreen, or moisturizer if desired. As an oily-skin kind of lady, I’ve found that I don’t need any additional hydration, so I prefer to leave it as is.
Maybe I’ll return to eye cream someday, but for now, this is just so simple that I’m wholly embracing it.
I’ve been traveling down the minimalist road for quite some time now. It was one thing to let go of all my high heels, and not that hard when you work on your feet all day.
It’s a whole other level to abandon all my “beauty” products.
